But, depending on your use, there are quite a few water bottles that are nearly as good as Yeti and substantially cheaper.

Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Water Bottle
Of all the water bottles, Hydro Flask is the most popular alternative to Yeti bottles. I have written a direct comparison between Yeti and Hydro Flask. Out of all Hydro Flask bottles, the Wide-Mouth Water Bottle is the most popular. Hydro Flask offers a great performance wherever you decide to use it. It is good for the gym, office, home, or backcountry adventures and also adds a bit of stylish flair.
Obviously, the most important feature of this bottle is its vacuum insulation. I decided to test it out and filled the Hydro Flask with some water and ice and left it sitting. Just as I expected, the water remained cold after 24 hours, even though the ice was completely gone.
On the other hand, the bottle is incapable of keeping hot liquids hot for 12 hours, as the manufacturer claims. Your hot coffee will be only lukewarm after sitting in the bottle for 12 hours, but are you really going to leave hot drinks that long? So fill the Hydro Flask bottle with hot coffee in the morning, and it will still be hot for your lunch break.
Other things I liked are the matte finish on the bottle’s exterior, a wide mouth that allows easy drinking and filling, as well as the overall durability (stainless steel construction). I have used this bottle a lot while hiking. When dropped, it has been scratched and dented, but it is still fit for use after a few years.

ThermoFlask Double Insulated Water Bottle
The ThermoFlask water bottle is a decent alternative to Yeti at half the price. Despite its significantly lower cost, the ThermoFlask is available in a number of sizes and colors. But what about the performance?
Due to the fact that it features double-walled insulation (hence the name), this water bottle is capable of maintaining the temperature of hot drinks for up to 12 hours and cold drinks for up to 24 hours. In reality, the model performs genuinely well only when it comes to cold drinks, but it can and will keep your hot tea hot for a couple of hours.
One particularly interesting feature of this ThermoFlask bottle is that it comes equipped with two lids. These are the straw and the chug lid, and both of them allow easy one-handed drinking. The straw lid of this model is significantly improved when compared to the one found in the previous iterations of this bottle with a better water flow.

S’well Teakwood Triple-Layered Water Bottle
Are you looking for a genuinely well-designed, fashionable bottle that will keep your beverages cold and hot? If so, S’well’s Teakwood model is certainly among your best options. In fact, I consider this model to be the most beautiful Yeti alternative on my list.
Besides the fact that it ranks high in aesthetics and design, S’well Teakwood provides phenomenal thermoregulation performance. The model uses proprietary “ThermaS’well” technology, which, as the name of the bottle suggests, incorporates triple-layered insulation into the bottle’s design.
The result of this is the model’s ability to keep beverages hot for 18 hours and cold for 36 hours. As far as I’m concerned, this is seriously impressive and something that turns the S’well Teakwood into an absolutely phenomenal alternative to most Yeti water bottles.
Unfortunately, this is not the most durable water bottle on my list, even though it’s made out of stainless steel. After three drops on the body and three on the lid, the model suffered such severe damage that it became very wobbly and incapable of standing up straight. So, if you decide to go with S’well Teakwood, be extra careful with it!
Takeya Actives Stainless Steel Bottle
Those looking for a simple around-town water bottle will find that the Stainless Steel Bottle from Takeya’s Actives lineup is a great option. From the office to home and the commute in between, this Takeya model is inexpensive, simple, and exceptionally easy to drink from.
Just like most products of this type, this one also has a wide-mouth lid that you can easily take down to fill the bottle with your favorite beverage. On the model’s lid, you will find a screw-top spout that allows easy drinking on the go. It’s a simple, leak-free solution that works very well.
However, the model falls a bit short when it comes to durability. It shows signs of wearing fairly quickly, especially when it’s used every day and in rough conditions. It’s a good thing that it comes equipped with a silicone sleeve – otherwise, its bottom would suffer from denting and chipping even after very low drops.
Due to the fact that it’s not as durable or well-insulated as some of the other models on my list, the Takeya Actives Stainless Steel Bottle is only good for people who want to stay hydrated in the city.
Klean Kanteen Classic Water Bottle
If you’re on a budget and expensive water bottles like the ones made by Yeti are out of the question, this particular model is a good option. Reasonably priced, easy to use, and sporting a genuinely simple design, the Klean Kanteen Classic definitely deserves a closer look.
In my opinion, the biggest advantage of this bottle (besides its low price) is its overall simplicity. Due to its sleek profile, it easily fits into all bike bottle holders and car cup holders. Furthermore, cleaning the Klean Kanteen Classic is effortless, especially if you own a dishwasher.
The model comes equipped with the so-called Sport Cap 3.0, which, unlike the previous versions, does not let the air in while you’re sipping. One thing that had me surprised is how durable this cheap bottle is – it’s made out of stainless steel and doesn’t scratch that easily when dropped from a low height.
Once we combine this durability with versatility and low price, we quickly realize why this Klean Kanteen bottle is one of the company’s bestsellers. Simple Modern Insulated Wide-Mouth Bottle
Tremendously popular due to its portable and easy-to-use design, the Simple Modern Insulated Wide-Mouth Bottle has only a few drawbacks and comes at a genuinely affordable price. And, just like most of the other bottles in my roundup, it is also available in many different sizes and colors.
The 22-ounce variant of this bottle is sleek and well-proportioned. Because of this, you’ll never have trouble fitting the Simple Modern bottle into your backpack, and the same goes for backpack pockets and cup holders. It’s no wonder why so many people use this model as their go-to option for around-town use.
However, in my opinion, the most interesting feature of this bottle is its interchangeable lid options. For example, you can use a simple screw cap with it – it is plastic on the interior, stainless steel on the exterior, and very easy to remove. The flip cap, on the other hand, is designed to be used with hot drinks.
Durability-wise, the model is not among the best out there – it is quite prone to chips and dents. However, this is not such a big issue once we take the bottle’s low price into account. It’s an inexpensive, well-shaped model with good insulating qualities and certainly a worthwhile purchase.

Founded in 2013, Fifty/Fifty Bottles is a sort of a newcomer to the industry. While it’s true that there’s not much info on the brand’s background, it is also true that their products keep receiving more and more positive user reviews as the years go by. Are their water bottles really that good?
The Double Wall Insulated Water Bottle we have here is available in three sizes and 15 different colors, some of which are quite vibrant. No matter which size/color you decide to go with, you’ll be getting a model with a wide mouth that is easy to fill and drink from.
Furthermore, this model sports a stainless steel construction. As you can already guess, this means that it’s quite durable. Another important thing to point out here is that stainless steel prevents the retention of odor and taste and is, therefore, safe for all beverages you can think of – from water to beer.
This Fifty/Fifty bottle also sports an easy-to-use straw lid that has a perfect seal and effortlessly prevents accidental spills. All in all, it is a great product for the price.
Iron Flask Sports Water Bottle
Iron Flask water bottles are extremely popular for a good reason. Not only are all of the company’s products exceptionally well-made and have a stylish look, but they also come at reasonable prices. The same can be said for this Iron Flask water bottle.
Available in 6 sizes and 23 colors, the Iron Flask Sports Water Bottle is made out of premium-quality 18/8 stainless steel and has no harmful substances in its body (it’s BPA-free). Because of this, the bottle doesn’t retain taste or odor and is also very durable. Products made by Ozark Trail, which is a brand owned by Walmart, are typically made with the economical buyer in mind. The last Yeti alternative I’m going to take a look at offers significantly more space (64 ounces) for one’s favorite beverage than most similarly priced bottles in this roundup. Is that the only great thing about it?
Like most Yeti alternatives I’ve analyzed, this one is also made out of stainless steel. I was surprised to find out that this budget-oriented water bottle is actually made out of premium-quality 18/8 stainless steel – you won’t have to worry about its durability. Unfortunately, it is available in only two colors – silver and white.
Another feature that makes this model similar to the ones analyzed above is the double-walled insulation. As you can already guess, this allows the bottle to keep beverages cold or hot for hours, which turns it into an ideal choice for everything from hunting trips to long backcountry hikes.
Other features worth mentioning are the BPA-free construction, a twist-off top, a wide mouth, and a total weight of 2.43 pounds. While this certainly isn’t the best 64-ounce reusable water bottle on the market, it just might be the best one in its price category. If you’re in need of a well-made, high-capacity water bottle but don’t want to fork out money for a Yeti-made model, you won’t make a mistake by going with this Ozark Trail bottle.
